About Navin
Navin Shah has lived in Brent and Harrow with his family for over 30 years. An architect by profession, Navin is a well known, award winning, community activist.
In May 2008 he will be the Labour candidate for the London Assembly in Brent and Harrow.
Navin brings a wealth of experience to the role, his CV includes:
· Leadership: Leader of Harrow Council 2004-2006
· Public Services: Member of Harrow Police Consultative Group, supported Safer Neighbourhood Teams, London Fire Emergency Planning Authority member; worked with Transport for London.
· Making London great: West London Alliance member working on the Olympics, Tourism and the Mayor’s London Plan; London Development Agency member.
· Community Relations:Harrow Anti Racist Alliance Founder member, Labour’s Ethnic Minority Taskforce member.
Navin pledges to:1.Tackle crime effectively to make Brent and Harrow safer. 2.Create a better environment with greener and cleaner streets. 3.Put affordable housing first. 4.Improve community relations. 5.Provide better opportunities and facilities for young and old. |
